This piece was fired in a “Train” style wood kiln over several days. The images show different sides with variable glaze effect.

Porcelain clay is wheel thrown, trimmed, textured via chattering, then incised with a vine-like root design. Interior is glazed to be food-safe and easily washable; on exterior, hand burnished terra sigillata (a super-fine clay slip) and black and red details complete the look.

Holds 14oz. Approx. h: 5.5 in. (~14 cm)
