A visually and physically tactile experience, this fancy plate is hand textured using stamps and tools made by yours truly. Winter blue and red contrasts with white to accentuate the front and back design.

Wheel thrown porcelain clay is split twice at the rim and coaxed into a flowing wave. The underside is trimmed with a repeat double split in the foot ring. Porcelain terra sigillata ( a super-fine clay slip) is hand burnished in the white areas to create a satiny finish. A light coat of clear glaze makes the surface kinda washable, however the texture will grab liquids- dry food service recommended (breads, fruit, etc), soak before hand washing.
